The Noss Garden is probably the most personal collection I’ve created so far.
Growing up, we had a little fairy garden that I was completely obsessed with. I’d spend hours exploring it, looking for tiny surprises, writing letters to the fairies and imagining that they were just hiding somewhere nearby. I also loved the movie The Secret Garden, especially the idea that you needed a key to get in and that this beautiful, magical world was hidden behind the gate.
That feeling has always stayed with me. A garden can be its own little world, full of colour, surprises and things to discover.
That’s really where this collection began, with the things in nature that catch my eye and make me happy. Flowers, birds, butterflies, fruit and little details that feel a bit unexpected. I wanted The Noss Garden to feel joyful, colourful and full of personality, like there is always something new to spot.
Last year’s bird vase was such a special piece for me. I loved seeing something quirky and full of character become part of people’s homes. It almost felt like having little friends in the house with you. Seeing how much people connected with it made me want to bring even more of my own personality into Noss designs. The birds in this collection feel like tiny garden friends, while the butterflies are a nod to how magical and delicate nature can be.
And the pears? I’ve always loved fruit. It feels playful, nostalgic and a little unexpected in ceramics. Pears have such a lovely shape, and they fit perfectly into this garden world alongside the flowers and birds.
The Noss Garden is where I want to keep taking Noss. Pieces that are useful, but also make you smile every time you see them. A little bit wonky, a little bit magical, and designed to bring more joy into everyday life.
